When it comes to the views of the world, the author of classics such as Treasure Island and Kidnapped is the man for me. I try to put that same love of life evident in Stevenson's books and poems -- of adventure, passion, intrigue, and beauty -- into the stories I write. And if they include a man to tease, torment, love and be loved by, all the better.

All my books, whether paranormal or contemporary romance, have strong doses of adventure and intrigue. Night Secrets plays with the Northern Lights and a man whose life and love is forever altered by the disturbing beauty of solar storms. I have the good fortune to be married to my own knight-in-shining-armor, who only recently showed his love for me by leaping a raised concrete pool -- and paying for the deed with ten stitches! Our adventures together inlcude world travel, three children who provide far too much excitement, a stint as newspaper reporters, and a consulting partnership. These days I live in southwestern Ontario, just down the street from a Shakespearean theater. I still get a thrill from bumping into "Romeo" at the drugstore, or watching "Lancelot" ride by on his bicycle.

I'm a former president of the Toronto chapter of Romance Writers of America, and a three-time Golden Heart finalist. In 2004, I won both the PASIC Book of Your Heart Contest and the Lories Best Proposal Contest, for a paranormal romance I hope will be coming to you soon. Wish me luck!
