Born and raised in Michigan, Micqui began writing plays and short stories long before she knew how to read or print. At 15, she earned her first byline as a sports writer for a local Detroit newspaper, Teen Life, which later became known nationally as Teen Post. Since then, Micqui has published more than 100 articles in trade journals and newsletters.
Despite a demanding career as a development director for a private high school, Micqui continues to hone her writing skills.
In 1992, she won the coveted Golden Heart from Romance Writers of America for her novel, The Killing Hour, and in 2000, Micqui was once again nominated for a Golden Heart for Morning Star.
In February 2005, Hard Shell Word Factory published her third novel, Sweet Caroline.
In Sweet Caroline, high tech crimes analyst Caroline Spring searches for her biological family while investigating a multi-million dollar fraud scheme. Finding the perp is easy. Keeping a safe distance from charming bad boy Mick Mahoney, a scientist and forensic investigator, is the hard one. Especially when his family may be hers. But an even greater challenge awaits them and solving that mystery is going to be murder!
While Micqui awaits news of the release date for Sweet Caroline, she’s busy spinning off these characters into a mystery entitled, All In The Game, the first in the Caroline Spring Mystery Series.
Micqui, her husband Bill and their young feline con artists, Peja and Vlade, live in Central Texas.
