Lady Elinor's Escape

Rogue's Hostage

Linda McLaughlin

My name is Linda and I'm a book junkie. I'm never happier than when I'm surrounded by books, which is probably why I became first a librarian and then an author.

In addition to my love of reading, I grew up with a love of history fostered by her paternal grandmother and an incurable case of wanderlust inherited from my father. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to travel extensively within the United States and I've visited Mexico, Canada and Australia. In September 2003 I took the trip of a lifetime to England, and I can't wait to go back.

At the age of fourteen, I moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to southern California and I've lived there since, except for a year at the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a Master’s degree in Library Science. Currently, I live in Anaheim with my husband of fifteen years. I still work part-time as a librarian.

I started writing in 1988 when I joined Romance Writers of America. I'm still an active member of the Orange County Chapter, as well as EPIC, the Electronically Published Internet Connection.

Rogue’s Hostage, my first historical romance, received four and a half stars and a Top Pick from Romantic Times and was nominated by RT for a Reviewers' Choice Award for Best Small Press Romance of 2003.

Lady Elinor’s Escape is my first traditional Regency romance. It was a finalist in the Top O’ The Trees competition sponsored by the Regency Plume. My next project is to work on a sequel to this novel.
