Laura BacchiWhen my 11th grade Psychology teacher predicted I would be a writer one day, I don't think this was what she had in mind.
I've been on a mission to find the perfect romance book since my early twenties. I'd read reviews, try new authors, and usually come away disappointed. This one had a great love story, another sizzled with sexual tension, and others had loads of hot sex but lacked a sense of humor and the sweeter side of romance that I craved. Having worked in libraries all my adult life, I figured I knew just about every type of book out there -- so I gave up reading romance novels. Then one lucky night I was browsing Amazon.com and discovered something I'd never heard of before. Something called Romantic Erotica.
I was hooked. Erotic romances had just the right amount of heat to keep me turning the pages and enough emotion to distinguish them from hard-core erotica. Relief swept over me -- I wasn't a freak after all. Well, at least not with my taste in reading materials...
After finding out that you can have your cake and eat it too, I decided to try my hand at writing sci-fi, time travel, and contemporary erotic romance. Chella's Quest was a winner in Amber Quill's 2005 Amber Heat Wave Contest, and The Heart of a Hunter won second place in Phaze.com's Phaze One Writing Challenge.
I live in the Southeast with my daughter, a bizarre salt and pepper shaker collection, and a supportive husband who is always willing to read my latest work-in-progress and help out with any "research."
