With Irish ancestry on both sides of her family, Deirdre has always been enthralled by the history and customs of the Celtic peoples as they have come down to us. The Mother Goddess idea particularly resonates with her as well as the notion that physical expressions of love between consenting couples are both a divine gift and a sacred duty to honor the Mother.
Writing came naturally to Deirdre from early childhood, for she scribed her first simple verse at age eight. An avid reader, she devoured hundreds of books while growing up and later as an adult. Somewhere along the way she found romance and then romance with more explicit and detailed love scenes. “Ah ha,” said she, “I think I have found my niche!”
Since fantasy and highly imagined tales of daring do and adventure also appeal to her, she sets many of her erotic romances in imaginary worlds where magic and special powers may be used. She is also a lover of cowboys and the west. Finding rodeo the last bastion of the cowboy in our mechanized age, she selected this environment for her Rodeo Girls series in which a group of friends find their matches among the hard-riding competitors.
Watch for more romances in a hotter shade of green from the pen of Deirdre. Besides two more Rodeo Girls tales, she’s at work currently on a full length novel set in the gorgeous red rocks of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon, Arizona involving a painter and a spirit from the Age of Lemuria!
Another developing shorter tale centers around a runaway lady and a handsome blacksmith in a historical western setting.
As long as readers enjoy them, Deirdre promises never to stop writing fun sexy stories!
