CAROLINA VALDEZ WELCOMES YOU TO HER WEBPAGE
Hi! I'm CAROLINA VALDEZ, and my latest release, the erotic suspense novella WHERE VESUVIUS SLEEPS, is so new the reviews haven't come in yet. Five years after their college friendship ends in bitterness, Paige and Tap meet unexpectedly while working on a summer excavation in ancient Pompeii. Tap's on a secret mission and being with Paige is risky. But passion flares in the shadow of the sleeping volcano, and he can't hold back. Like an adder lying in wait, danger strikes, and he's not sure they'll survive.
SWEET CHOCOLATE ECSTASY, an erotic paranormal, features chocolatier Madison Ruhl. While fighting to save her business from bankruptcy, a seductive prince enters her dreams and a sexy, tattooed chocolatier comes riding into her life on a Harley. Neither man is who they appear to be. Both offer solutions that could bring ruination. JERR'S Francesca Hayne rated it 4 Stars/Sizzling: "I truly enjoyed this novel...a mix of mystery and paranormal...a delicious escape from the ordinary." 4 Hearts/Very Sensual, Angela Brewer, TRS: "I couldn't put it down...Carolina Valdez has done an awesome job."
The highly sensual but not quite erotic KNIGHT OF THE CAPTIVE HEART, my second novel, earned 5 Cups from Coffee Time Romance, and 5 Angels and a Recommended Read from FAR reviewer Michelle..."everything a great medieval story should be - romantic, lusty, historically accurate, and filled with calls to arms and bloodshed."
If you deny love, beware, a DARK STRANGER may come riding into your life! This short historical, set on an Early California rancho, is very special to me because it was a 2004 Amber Heat Wave winner and placed third in The Lories 2005 Best Published Novella competition sponsored by the From The Heart chapter of RWA. TRS reviewer Dee Herga gave it 4 1/2 Hearts; Aggie of JERR rated it 4/ Hot.
Research for Where Vesuvius Sleeps opened the world of erotic, classical art and the beauty of Southern Italy to me. The setting for Sweet Chocolate Ecstasy is a fictionalized version of the town I live in and my favorite coffee shop. The candy research was mouth watering. Knight of the Captive Heart took me into the enticing age of chivalry, which wasn't so chivalrous after all. The fun of being a writer is that you can play to your interests and recreate an era or create your own worlds, peopled with characters you love...or love to hate.
